This offering will address the basics of New York estate planning, including an overview of will, powers of attorney, health care proxies, living will and trusts. The class will take you through what Probate means and how a health care proxy can help you and why we need all these things. Time will be reserved at the end of the presentation for questions.

In this class, we will discuss the basics of Estate Planning and help explain some of the common terms associated with estates. We will go over various strategies for: protecting beneficiaries; reducing or avoiding costs associated with probate, taxes, or other settlement expenses; and avoiding family conflict.
